Sirajah Raheem, MPH

Sirajah Raheem is an organizational accountability facilitator. She uses an anti-oppressive framework to center power-sharing in strategic planning and to rethink traditional diversity, equity, and inclusion work. Her experiences as a community organizer for economic and housing justice in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, ground her work. She has a master’s in public health with an emphasis in health policy. She works as the Global Director of Inclusion and Diversity and serves on the operational board at an independent marketing intelligence company. 

Outside of her role in Global DEI, Sirajah is the owner and founder of Groundsheet. Groundsheet was created in 2020 to support organizations, across fields, to reenvision their principles and operations to make meaningful contributions to a more equitable society. We work with social justice organizations committing to incorporating principles of racial equity to create intersectional interventions, well-established corporations trying to maintain social and moral relevance, and support organizations to apply external values internally and repair the damage of oppression and exclusion in the workplace. Groundsheet utilizes collaboration to ask complex questions and articulate uncomplicated answers to dismantle oppression.

She has provided interpersonal violence prevention training and technical assistance to over four hundred higher education institutions, military installations, and communities. She has worked internationally, and her jokes land even when translated to Mandarin. Sirajah focuses on building culturally relevant training, developing professional and interpersonal skills to prepare individuals to contribute to social change within their organization, and creating an empowering learning experience for participants. Sirajah believes that if the work claims to be just, it must be effective, and if the work claims to be effective, it must be just.
